Lefkothea Nteka is Partner in D.K. Avgitidis & Associates Law Firm. Her practice mainly concentrates in EU Law, competition law, energy, telecommunications, capital markets law, regulatory and compliance.


Before joining D.K. Avgitidis & Associates Law Firm, Lefkothea has served since 2013 as Commissioner – Rapporteur of the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC) and, before that, as Director of the Legal Services Directorate, Head of Unit and case-handler.


Previously she practiced law in Volos. Her private practice focused on civil and commercial law. She has also worked as an Intern at the Directorate General of Competition of the European Commission in Brussels.


Lefkothea was a member of the EU Council’s negotiation team for the adoption of the Directive on antitrust damages actions, of the legislative committee for the transposition of the Directive on antitrust damages actions in Greece, as well as a regular delegate-representative at the OECD and the European Competition Network. She was also a member of the legislative committee for the transposition of the Directive on the effective enforcement of competition rules by national Competition Authorities (ECN +).


She has academic publications in law journals and collective volumes and teaches European competition law as a Visitor Lecturer in Université Aix – Marseille. She has given lectures at several conferences and universities on her areas of expertise.


She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens and a Master’s degree (DES) from the Institut d’Etudes Européennes of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, in European commercial law.
